Terms and Conditions of Sale

General terms and conditions of sale for stays in guest rooms and apartments at Une Pause en Provence.

Article 1 / Length of stay
Under no circumstances may the customer who signs the present contract for a fixed term claim any right to remain in the premises.

Article 2 / Rates
The prices indicated on the www.unepauseenprovence.com website are the only contractual prices. They include all taxes (the owners are not subject to VAT, article 293 B of the CGI).

Article 3 / Booking formalities
Once we have received your booking, we will send you written confirmation by e-mail – or, if you don’t have an e-mail address, by post – and ask you to pay a deposit of 30% of the total cost of your stay within a maximum of two weeks (but sooner if you book with less notice). Once this deposit has been received, the reservation becomes firm. By paying the deposit, you confirm that you are in full agreement with our general terms and conditions of sale. Please note that the reservation will not be confirmed unless the deposit is paid within the specified period. We therefore reserve the right to reclaim the rooms.

Article 4 / Cancellation of the stay by the customer
Any modification is only possible with the agreement of “une Pause en Provence” and may result in additional charges.We inform you that in the event of cancellation of the reservation before the beginning of the stay, an indemnity will be due, as a penalty clause by the customer, fixed in the following way:- if the cancellation occurs more than 15 days before the arrival date, the deposit will be reimbursed in full; – if the cancellation occurs less than 14 days before the arrival date, the full payment will be retained by “une Pause en Provence”.In the event of early departure during the stay: full payment for the service booked.

Article 5 / Cancellation insurance
Please note that cancellation insurance is not included in our rates. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out an insurance policy.

Article 6 / Cancellation of the stay by the owner
If, before the start of the stay, the owner has to cancel the booking, he must immediately inform the customer by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by any other means (e-mail, sms, telephone). The customer will then be immediately and fully reimbursed for any sums already paid.

Article 7 / Capacity
This contract is drawn up for a specific number of people, i.e. two people per room/apartment. If the number of guests exceeds this limit, the owner is entitled to refuse additional guests.
This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the owner’s initiative, so that in the event of the departure of a greater number of customers than those refused, no reimbursement can be considered.

Article 8 / Tourist tax
The tourist tax is a local tax that the customer must pay to the owner, who then transfers it to the public treasury.

Article 9 / Arrival time
Customers must arrive on the day specified at the time of booking, no earlier than 5:00 pm (when rooms are available) and no later than 8:00 pm. Customers must give advance notice by telephone if they are forced to arrive after this time. As far as possible, please do not arrive after 9.00 pm. On request, arrival before 5.00 pm may be possible, subject to room availability.

Article 10 / Departure time
Rooms must be vacated by 11 a.m. at the latest.

Article 11 / Breakfasts
Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 9:30. A reasonable margin before or after this time may be accepted at the customer’s request.

Article 12 / Payment of the balance for accommodation
The balance is payable on arrival.
Consumption and additional services not mentioned in the contract or estimate must be paid to the owner at the end of the stay.

Article 13 / Change of rooms
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to change the room initially booked by the customer for a room of the same or greater capacity. In this case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.

Article 14 / Pets
Pets are not allowed. Upon request and acceptance by “Une Pause en Provence”, small pets may be accepted. A cleaning supplement of €10 will be charged.
Should the customer fail to comply with this clause, the owner may refuse to accept the animals. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of contract on the owner’s initiative, so that in the event of the customer’s departure, no reimbursement can be considered.

Article 15 / Lifestyle and use of the premises
To ensure the tranquillity of the premises and the comfort of “une Pause en Provence” guests, a certain “art de vivre” is required of everyone. In particular, you are asked not to smoke inside rooms and common areas. More generally, the customer undertakes to comply with the rules of good manners indicated to him, those that apply to everyone when living in a community, and the present general conditions of sale.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare systematically – and assume financially – any damage for which he/she is responsible.
Guests’ attention is drawn to the fact that minors on the property are the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians.
“une Pause en Provence” accepts no responsibility for loss, theft and/or damage or injury to property and/or persons on the property, however caused.

Article 16 / Modification of sales conditions
The present conditions of sale may be modified at any time and without prior notice. Acceptance of and compliance with these conditions of sale are deemed to have been accepted as soon as the deposit has been paid.

Article 17 / Data Protection Act
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, you have the right to access and correct your personal data. Under no circumstances will we pass on the information you provide to other companies or organizations.
