3 goals for Six-Fours<\/h3>\n

It’s 3pm, the weather’s fine, and we’re thinking “where could I go for 2 or 3 hours before taking a dip in the pool….”. In Six-Fours. Not at the beach, as is often the case when we talk about this town, but visiting it from the point of view of culture and heritage.<\/p>\n

From our guest house, Une Pause en Provence, you can take the road towards Six-Fours-les-Plages, passing through the Ollioules gorges, and follow the signs for La Seyne\/Six-Fours\/Fort de Six-Fours. From the top, you’ll be able to admire a rare panorama: on the left, the Toulon roadstead, in the center, the Saint Mandrier peninsula, and in the background, the Giens peninsula and the island of Porquerolles. On the right, the island of Les Embiez and a view as far as the bay of La Ciotat. (Unfortunately, the Fort cannot be visited).<\/p>\n

While you’re parked up to admire the view, be sure to visit the Coll\u00e9giale St Pierre.

On the way back down, follow the signs to La Chapelle de P\u00e9piole (5th-century chapel).<\/p>\n

Be careful, the road is narrow, which is surprising because you have to pass through houses and a campsite… and take a road with concrete chicanes!<\/p>\n

Don’t be afraid, though, and continue on to the chapel’s visitor parking lot.
